Born from the tradition of sailors waxing their sails for strength and weather resistance, the Tin Cloth Hat carries that same durability forward. Made from waxed cotton that’s windproof, water-resistant, and naturally breathable, it’s built for year-round wear. Finished with a mid-crown, five-panel design, standard brim, and adjustable leather strap with antique brass buckle. Breaks in over time and can be re-waxed to extend its life.

One size fits all, with adjustable strap at the back. Depth is 4”.

Wash in cold water and hang to dry. To give the strap, buckle and wax coating a longer life, we recommend washing only when necessary. We also recommend a quick rinse in fresh water if the hat has been exposed to salt water.

I was skeptical but I do like it. It is a smaller fit as others have mentioned and that isn't ideal but overall it works, if I didn't have a shaved head it wouldn't fit me. Take the one size fits all with a grain of salt. Just remember it does NOT breathe - you will sweat in warm weather haha

The only complaint I have is I'm not a stranger to waxed cotton/canvas so I asked ahead of time if it would shrink and was assured that it absolutely would not. My daily wear one through the summer that was exposed to heat and the moisture of my sweaty head definitely made it shrink. I have two colors that used to be identical and one is now smaller. Keep that in mind.

I hope they will offer a slightly larger size because overall I will buy this again.

Like a number of other people have noted, it is a small fit. I have a big head, so slightly disappointing. It is the company's fault I have a big head - No. Should it be communicated that it is a smaller make - Yes. Is it well made and nice looking - Yes. Would I appreciate a larger make - Yes!!

I wish they came in

Best gear

I've been wearing this hat for atleast 6 years and it's still going strong. I've also have a pair of the wool socks that are ten years old and still have life left in them. Wool toque is 6+ years old and also still has a lot of life left. Would still be rocking one of the twill jackets but it got stolen from a bar one night. . . Somebody had good stealing taste. i
