The Buffalo Plaid
Burlier than our Sunday Flannel, the new Buffalo Plaid is a warm and multi-functional overshirt that will always have your back. It’s built from a recycled cotton blend that’s as strong and sturdy as the name suggests, making it a go-to garment for days spent stocking the woodshed or clearing brush on the Back Forty. Improving on the traditional ranch and work shirts that inspired it, however, the Buffalo Plaid is also incredibly comfortable to wear—the milled fabric is double-combed and hot water washed, a method that’s more labour-intensive but offers a soft and supple feel. Manufactured in a unique, dye-free process, the material has a significantly reduced environmental impact, saving water and eliminating the need for harmful chemicals in production. Featuring contrast plaid on the two buttoned chest pockets, the straight-up design also has single-button cuffs and a squared hem.

Designed to be worn as an outer layer, we make the Buffalo Plaid in a standard fit; with a roomier cut for freedom of movement, it can be easily worn over our other styles in your regular size. See our sizing chart for further details.
Wash in cold water and hang to dry. To reduce energy and water use, we recommend washing only when necessary. Less washing also gives your garments a longer life.
